Karaoke Night

Does anyone else constantly feel the need to live their life like a movie?

It's as if I feel there is a 3rd party out there that I constantly am proving myself to. Or rather constantly entertaining. Now as a Christian, the logical explanation would be that God is my loving stalker. But somehow I feel disgusted in that idea. I highly doubt God wants me to be partying it up for his entertainment.
So who am I trying to entertain? Who am I living my life for?

Too much theoretical contemplation? I think so too. But it's absolutely essential that my internet audience understands why I do what I do. Even though I don't :)

So on that topic of entertainment, am telling you (3rd party witness) that I should NOT being going to kareoke tonight. My friend (let's say her name is J) and I have been invited on a drunken outing. Not that I wouldn't love a drunken outing, but we went through a rather dramatic toga party the night before, so we've decided to skip out the drinks, right to the singing.
So tonight is kareoke night.

Since I just moved to America months ago, I have absolutely no idea how karaoke is in the states. Can anyone educate me? In China, karaoke is a huge deal. They have these huge 8 story buildings dedicated to amateur singing. The design of these buildings are beautiful, and everything is sparkling new, everything constantly renovated. These KTVs (as they're called) have buffets and night clubs as well as their main attractions (the private rooms). Karaoke buildings serve as homes to drunken middle aged men, fun loving students, gaggles of giggling women (美女), and the aspiring songsters. They're really quite amazing places, do ya'll get the idea?

Here's a pic for ya'll who can't quite grasp the concept ;)

Now I don't completely expect the karaoke bars in America to be quite as extravagant, but I hope they're slightly above the standards of a piss cornered bar. We'll see wont we?

Haha, I guess the real important question is this: Will I be killing anyone with my horrendous singing?
How will their health insurance cover the damage done to their cochleas?

Be aware America. Here comes the screeching of a delusional FOB.
